One of the things Susan Finlay likes best about reading novels is that you aren’t just seeing words. With a well-written book, you’re seeing a movie in your head, feeling what the characters are feeling, and visiting all kinds of interesting places. You’re learning, experiencing new things, and perhaps even finding ways to empathize with people you didn’t previously understand.

That’s why she wanted to learn to write. She wanted to create that kind of experience.

In addition to writing, Susan  loves photography and traveling. She’s originally from Germany, grew up in the U.S., and now lives in New Mexico with her husband and their cats. Their grown son lives in Germany with his wife; their grown daughter lives in the U.S. Before becoming an author, Susan earned a degree in business and worked as a Bank Auditor.

She has sixteen published novels. Her newest release, Planck’s Secret, is an alternate reality/time travel story set in Germany. Her fifteenth book, Gold and Gunslingers, is the first book in a spin-off series, Tangled Roots II. Her fourteenth book, Berlin and Betrayal, is the third book in her Tangled Roots Historical Series. Her prior release was Reflections in the Dark, the first in a new time travel mystery/romance series. She is busy at work on more books. She’s always working on a brand new book. The first four books in her Outsiders mystery series are In the Shadows, Where Secrets ResideWinter Tears, and The Forgotten Tomb. She has two three books in her Bavarian Woods time travel mystery series and they are Inherit the Past and Tanglewood Grotto and Not Expecting This. In addition, she has two other series. The first book in her Project Chameleon suspense series is Liars’ Games and the second is The Secret Town, and the first book in her Chambre Noir mystery series is The Handyman. Her most popular series in Tangled Roots, and those books are Breadcrumbs and Bombs and Bloodlines and Barbed Wire and now Berlin and Betrayal.
