Yesterday was the one-year anniversary (or birthday) of my blog. I began the blog with the help of an author friend, Sammy HK Smith. Even after the page was up-and-running I was totally clueless about blogging and about how to do much of anything on WordPress, so I didn’t post much on the blog until February, 2013. It took a lot of work to figure out how to change the appearance of the blog, how to set up widgets, etc. I couldn’t have done it without the help of my blogger friends on Facebook. Thanks to all of you!

Now, I need to figure out how to fix some of my new WordPress problems. I’m having difficulty loading pictures. The number of followers listed on the sidebar of the blog doesn’t agree with the number of followers listed on my dashboard (the dashboard figure is higher by at least 30). These things are minor considering how much I’ve learned over the past year.

Again, I want to thank my blogger friends (especially Sammy). Thanks to Robert Peett for encouraging me to start up a blog. Thanks to my son, Scott Finlay, for letting me use his photo of Landshut, Germany, as the header for my blog site. Thanks to all of my interviewees and guest bloggers. Thanks to all my readers and followers. You make blogging worthwhile.
