We watched the news last night and heard about the Lunar Eclipse that was coming. The newscaster said that the best viewing in our area would be between 5:30 AM and 6:30 AM on Wednesday. Well, this morning my husband woke me up around 5:30. He was ready to go outside and view the eclipse.

Barely awake, I had to search for my slippers and a sweater–and of course grab my camera. Within five minutes I joined him in our backyard and stared up at the moon. Almost as spectacular were the millions of stars. I took fourteen photos of the moon by zooming in as much as I could without totally blurring the picture. The pictures aren’t as crisp as I would like, but at least you can see the eclipse in them.

I tried to zoom in on the stars, too, but couldn’t see any of them with my camera.

Anyway, here are a few of my eclipse shots.
