I’ve done interviews with lots of authors over the years, and while I don’t do many of those anymore, I thought I would introduce readers to a few authors I know personally, authors who live here in Arizona.

First up is Cheryl Sterling. Cheryl Sterling is an American author of several paranormal and contemporary romance novels and short stories. Her first novel, What Do You Say to a Naked Elf?, was a finalist in the TARA contest and was later sold to Leisure Books, an imprint of Dorchester Publishing.

Cheryl is a co-founder and past president of Grand Rapids Region Writers Group in Grand Rapids, MI. She has conducted several workshops that focused on the writing craft and co-chaired their first “I’ve Always Wanted to Write a Book” regional conference.

In her spare time (she’s retired, so there’s that, but she writes a lot, so, never mind), she reads.

Next up is Betty Webb. Former journalist Betty Webb is a prize-winning mystery novelist whose books are based on true crimes, including human rights abuses. Publishers Weekly called her novels “mysteries with a social conscience.” She lives in Arizona, where her Lena Jones mysteries are set, and teaches writing at Arizona State University. https://www.amazon.com/Betty-Webb/e/B001HCY6AU

And then there is Augustus G. Van Slyke.  FICTION/THRILLER/SUSPENSE, and MEMOIR are the genres that he enjoys writing. The first book he wrote is a memoir called, Angels Never Lie. Within the pages is his story and the stories of a dozen other people having experiences outside of their bodies and/or premonitions.

Recently he has published two books in MYSTERY/SUSPENSE/FANTASY genres. DIGGING UP BONES, book I as he calls it, and book II a follow up called, FINDING MAGGIE’S BLISS. When he receives emails from readers who say that what he writes has helped them in some way, they encourage him to continue in his endeaver. God bless the Readers.https://www.amazon.com/Augustus-G-Van-Slyke/e/B00HUTERX0

She received a M.Ed. specializing in Early Childhood from the University of Illinois in Chicago and has extensive post-graduate work in special education from Northeastern Illinois University. She writes adult nonfiction and fiction for children, sprinkling humor everywhere possible. Find her on LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, Google+, YouTube, and at ellenbuikema.com.

Her first book, Parenting . . . A Work in Progress, is available in paperback and all eBook formats.

The first two books in The Adventures of Charlie Chameleon series, New Beginnings, and School Days are available in paperback and all eBook formats.
