I’m writing as fast as I can to finish the first draft of Not Expecting This, the sequel to Inherit the Past and Tanglewood Grotto, by the end of the first week of June. I’m on chapter sixteen right now. After that I’ll dive right into my rewrites and then send the finished manuscript to the editor by the end of June. While the editor works on the edits, I’ll finish writing Bloodlines and Barbed Wire, the sequel to my bestselling historical novel, Breadcrumbs and Bombs. I have four or five chapters written already, and the book is plotted out, too.

My plan is to finish the first draft and rewrites of Bloodlines and Barbed Wire in about two-and-a-half months and get it to the editor around the same time he gives me his edits for Not Expecting This.

If the plans go as expected, I will publish Not Expecting This around the middle to end of September and Bloodlines and Barbed Wire around the middle to end of December. Of course sometimes plans go awry. Keeping my fingers crossed that the editor and I can work that fast and that nothing derails us!

So, what comes after these two books?

I was planning to finish The Secret Town next (I have five or six chapters written already). Problem is, the first book, Liars’ Games, is not selling much these days. I may have waited too long to write the sequel. I’ll have to decide if it’s worth finishing it. I guess that’s the problem with having too many series going at the same time. If I don’t finish that book, the next books will be the sequel to The Handyman and the fifth book in my Outsiders series. I really need to write the sequel to The Handyman soon. Readers have been asking for it.
